Shared Learning Seminar
The future of parks and their positive impact on wellbeing

We held a free seminar with Nesta and Good Practice Wales on the future of parks and their positive impact on wellbeing.

About this event

In the current financial climate, many of our parks are facing an uncertain future, putting their management and maintenance at risk. This seminar looked at the current challenges and showed innovations already making an impact. Delegates were able to take away ideas on how to scope out the areas which have the greatest potential for innovation and how to ensure parks are sustainable in future.

The Heritage Lottery Fund and the Big Lottery Fund have successfully supported the restoration and revitalisation of many UK parks for the last decade. Nesta has now teamed up with both organisations to offer an exciting new programme to surface parks innovations.

We need new visions of how parks can be managed differently, how they can empower communities and be sustainable. It’s time to re-imagine parks.
