Report on compliance by the Auditor General for Wales and Wales Audit Office with the Equality Act 2010
We are proud to see the progress we have made in 2016-17 towards meeting our equality objectives. Highlights included: reviewing the commissioning of learning disability services by local authorities; gaining accessibility accreditation for our website; holding shared learning seminars on the provision of interpretation and translation services; and launching a staff women’s network.
Our Equality Report looks at our continued development in our overall programme of work to help ensure that the Auditor General and Wales Audit Office fully meet their equality duties.
In the report we provide detail on the impact assessments of policies and practices that were completed during the year, and conclude that we need to work further to close our overall pay gaps, particularly in terms of gender and ethnicity.
We plan to review our equality objectives and prepare and publish a revised Strategic Equality Plan by 31 March 2018.
