The Finance for the Future conference returns for its 8th year
A sought-after event, the conference is brought to you by the Finance Skills Development Group (FSDG).
Organisations involved include Audit Wales, NHS Wales, Welsh Government and sponsored bodies, local government, the police, fire and rescue services, higher education and further education institutions – along with other Wales based publicly-funded organisations, like the DVLA and Office for National Statistics.
The conference is designed for only for individuals working in publicly funded organisations across Wales and studying towards a finance related qualification. The aim of the conference is to increase finance trainees’ knowledge and understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the Welsh public sector, as well as supporting the personal development of trainees as finance leaders of the future.
The conference is a unique opportunity to attend thought-provoking keynote speeches and workshop sessions and ask your questions and receive your answers there and then. You’ll also get to learn about the issues impacting your sector and how they could impact your role.
The line up for this year is already shaping up to be one of the most interesting. Finance Director of Welsh Government, Dean Medcraft will be chairing the day with keynote speakers including the Auditor General for Wales, Professor Richard Wyn Jones, Director of Cardiff University’s Wales Governance Centre and Alan Vallance, Chief Executive of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales.
Providing the workshops will be:
And more to be announced!
