Darren Griffiths
Originally from the Ogwen Valley in Gwynedd, Darren now lives on Anglesey.
Darren is a Performance Audit Manager with responsibility for overseeing the Auditor General’s programme of performance audit work at Cardiff & Vale University Health Board, Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, Digital Health and Care Wales, and Velindre University NHS Trust. Darren is also responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Auditor General’s structured assessment work at all NHS bodies in Wales.
Prior to joining Audit Wales in July 2020, Darren was a Governance Manager at North Wales Police. Darren has also worked as Head of Strategic Change at Bangor University, Strategic Planning Manager at Gwynedd Council, and Assistant Director of Performance Management at Conwy Local Health Board.
Darren has a BA (Hons) in Sociology and Social Policy from the University of Wales, Bangor, and a MA in Change Management from Liverpool John Moore University.
Darren joined the Board in January 2023 as the Auditor General’s nominated employee member.
