This report summarises the findings from our 2022 audit work at Public Health Wales NHS Trust undertaken to fulfil our responsibilities under the Public Audit (Wales) Act 2004.
The Trust has a strong commitment to good governance but could tighten up its Board administration arrangements and strengthen its systems of assurance. Plans to review the long-term strategy present an opportunity to strengthen these arrangements by revisiting strategic risks and strengthening assurance frameworks to ensure they drive delivery of its strategic priorities.
