Audit Wales is proud to announce its joined the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, a globally recognised initiative that supports individuals with non-visible disabilities.
This membership marks a significant step in our commitment to being a model organisation, fostering inclusivity and ensuring that everyone—regardless of their disability—is recognised, understood, and supported.
Hidden Disabilities Sunflower was established to support individuals with conditions that may not be immediately visible, such as autism, chronic illnesses, sensory impairments, and mental health challenges. The Sunflower symbol provides a discreet way for individuals to signal that they may need additional assistance, patience, or understanding in public spaces and workplaces. This includes our employees and stakeholders.
Through our membership, we will actively integrate the Sunflower initiative into our everyday life ensuring that our employees are educated about non-visible disabilities and that anyone working for, with or visiting our workplaces will be welcomed and supported in a way that helps them be their best.
The Sunflower reflects our GREAT behaviours that guide everything we do.
We believe everyone benefits from a neuroinclusive workplace and it is our responsibility, to build on our dedication to making Sunflower-friendly spaces that are welcoming and accessible to all.
At Audit Wales, our aim is to assure, explain, and inspire and this guides everything we do. We recognise the positive impact that difference makes, and we’re committed to creating an inclusive, person-centred environment for all. By joining the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network, we’re taking another step toward ensuring everyone feels seen, supported and understood.
We are delighted to welcome Audit Wales to the growing network of Hidden Disabilities Sunflower members. Supporting employees with non-visible disabilities contributes to a safe and secure workplace, which aligns with Audit Wales’ values. The Sunflower is a catalyst for conversations about disability and a key step towards disability inclusion.
