NHS Wales Finances Data Tool Read more about NHS Wales Finances Data Tool About our data tool Data used in the tool has been taken from Welsh Government budgets, NHS bodies’ independently audited financial statements and from monthly financial data submissions from the NHS bodies to the Welsh Government. Our data tool shows the finances of seven health boards, three NHS trusts and two strategic health authorities in Wales. With our interactive tool you can look at trends in NHS finances up to 31 March 2023 for the whole of Wales and at individual health boards.

We hope the tool will help to tell some of the story of local government finances and be useful to anyone who wants to understand a bit more about the position of individual bodies and the local government sector as a whole. This is the first time we’ve collated this data from accounts, and we’ll continue to update the tool after completing our audit of accounts work each year.
