Engagement of children and young people - Caerphilly County ...

To engage with children and young people, Caerphilly has established a Junior Forum (ages 7 to 11) and a Youth Forum (ages 11 to 25). Though not entirely a new concept, there are few examples of such forums in Wales. They provide an opportunity for children and young people to engage with and directly influence the Council's governance, planning and decision-making process. Caerphilly County Borough Council - Audit of Accounts 2012-1...

This report is issued in the public interest under Section 22 of the Public Audit (Wales) Act 2004. I have issued this report to draw the public’s attention to a failure in governance arrangements and inadequacies in the processes adopted by Caerphilly County Borough Council to determine the pay of chief officers. As a result of such failures the Council has, in my view, acted unlawfully with regards to this pay-setting process.
