Newly appointed Chair, Isobel Garner, will steer the organisation as its Governance Committee and support delivery of the Auditor General for Wales' programme of work.

Joining Isobel at the Board's first full meeting today will be four non-executive members - Peter Price, Christine Hayes, Steve Burnett and David Corner - and the Auditor General for Wales.

Speaking at the Finance Leadership Network Conference at Cardiff City Stadium (10 October 2013) the Auditor General highlights the hard hitting draft budget and the role the Wales Audit Office can play in making best use of public resources.

The Improvement Assessment letter considers the audit and assessment work undertaken at the Council by the Wales Audit Office, and  whether Cardiff Council (the Council) has discharged its duties and met the requirements of the Local Government  Measure.

 Annual Improvement Reports are published for all 28 local authorities, which includes local councils, national parks, and fire and rescue services in Wales. The reports look at how well the organisations are planning for improvement and delivering their services.
