On Graduation in 1988 with a degree in Pure Mathematics and Accountancy, he worked as a trainee accountant for Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council for two years before moving to Clwyd County Council. While there he completed his CIPFA training becoming the only student in the Council’s history to pass CIPFA first time. Kevin is a member of the CIPFA CPD scheme and has been since its inception.

The Auditor General’s role includes examining how public bodies manage and spend public money, including how they achieve value in the delivery of public services. The Auditor General publishes reports on that work, some of which are considered by the Welsh Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee. He also reports every year on how well individual local authorities are planning for improvement.

Wales Audit Office joins forces with Charity Commission to host good practice seminar for trustees

The event, on 6 November, is being hosted, as part of National Trustees' Week, by the Wales Audit Office, in conjunction with the Charity Commission and Good Practice Wales.

It is designed for those with responsibility for directing the business of a charity - whether they are called trustees, directors, board members, governors or committee members. The event will share the most up-to-date practices from across Wales and beyond.

Appeal for patients' views on orthopaedics

Orthopaedics is the medical specialty that deals with the prevention and correction of injuries and disorders of the bones, joints and associated muscles and ligaments.
 
The study will look at the effectiveness of these services across Wales and will make recommendations to the NHS in Wales.

To inform the study, the Wales Audit Office is asking patients to complete a short online survey.
