In the ever-changing world of digital technology, understanding and making best use of evolving tools, whilst ensuring people in Wales have the skills required to benefit from positive digital interaction, is vital. From the ‘small things’ like Wi-Fi in public spaces and training staff to gain more confidence, to artificial intelligence, machine learning and even drones.

In partnership with Y Lab, Digital Communities Wales and WLGA, delegates discovered how the use of digital in public services help to enhance people’s lives in ways that we may never have imagined.

Appointment of new Auditor General

This means that the recruitment process moves to its final stage, which is formal appointment by Her Majesty the Queen.

Adrian Crompton, who works as Director of Assembly Business at the National Assembly for Wales, will replace the current Auditor General, Huw Vaughan Thomas, when he retires in July.
